A recent and short trips in Wallis (Occidental Polynesia) allowed the author to find a new species belonging to the genus Baeturia Stål and here described under the name B. uveiensis n. sp. ; its acoustic identity card and some first eco-ethological data are reported.

Un court séjour en Polynésie occidentale a permis de trouver une espèce nouvelle de Baeturia Stål sur l'île Wallis. L'espèce est décrite sous le nom B. uveiensis n. sp. ; sa carte d'identité acoustique et quelques informations sur l'éco-éthologie de cette Cigale sont apportées.
