A new aphaenopsian Trechini from Western Guizhou (Coleoptera, Caraboidea). Description of Sinaphaenops (Dongaphaenops) xuxiakei n. subgen., n. sp., a new subgenus of the genus Sinaphaenops Uéno & Wang, 1991, and a new species from Biyun Cave, in Panxian County, western Guizhou, China. Thaumastaphaenops Magrini, Vanni & Zanon, 1997, originally described as a genus and later considered by Uéno (2002) as a synonym, is re-established as a valid subgenus of Sinaphaenops. A new morphological definition of the genus Sinaphaenops is then provided, in comparison to the closest allied genera.

Description de Sinaphaenops (Dongaphaenops) xuxiakei n. subgen., n. sp., un nouveau sous-genre du genre Sinaphaenops Uéno & Wang, 1991, et une nouvelle espèce de la grotte Biyun, dans le canton de Panxian, dans le Guizhou occidental, en Chine. Thaumastaphaenops Magrini, Vanni & Zanon, 1997, originellement décrit comme un genre puis considéré par Uéno (2002) comme un synonyme, est réétabli comme un sous-genre valide de Sinaphaenops. Une nouvelle définition morphologique du genre Sinaphaenops est ainsi proposée, en regard des genres les plus proches.
