This re-examination of the manuscripts associated with Hugo Pictor defines his œuvre with new precision, clarifies the nature of his achievement both as an illuminator and as a scribe, and sheds light on aspects of book production and decoration in Normandy in the late eleventh century.

Ce réexamen des manuscrits associés à Hugo Pictor permet de redéfinir son oeuvre de façon plus précise, de clarifier la nature de son talent comme scribe et comme enlumineur, et de faire la lumière sur certains détails de la production et de la décoration de livres en Normandie vers la fin du XIe s.
