Un cadastre inédit entre Libron et Lez, et la question de la fondation coloniale de Béziers.

In a region of the Mediterranean Languedoc where already five cadastres were know, the author has identified the remnants of a new system which he proposes to call "Cessero-Forum Domitii ". Oriented N 35° E and with a module of 706-708 m, it streches on the east hank of the Libron up to the Lez. Relative dating places this cadastre in a era preceding the networks of Montpellier or "Béziers A ". The author also proposes to connect the "vicus " of Ballaruc with this pertica, which would allow to place it before the Augustan era. Furthermore it must have been established later than the cadastration of the territory of Greek Agde, therefore after 49 B.C. The network "Cessero- Forum. Domitii " could very well belong to the Caesarian era. Regarding that of 'Béziers C-Cessero" which is probably slightly later, the author discusses the integration o/Torum Domitii into this division of the country.

L'inventeur propose également de lier le avicus" de Ballaruc à cette pertica, ce qui permettrait de l'envisager comme antérieure à l'époque augustéenne. La mise en place serait également postérieure à la cadastration du territoire d'Agde grecque, donc à 49 av. J.-C. Le réseau "Cessero-Forum Domitii " pourrait fort bien être d'époque césarienne. Par relation avec celui de "Béziers C-Cessero" qui lui serait de peu postérieur, l'auteur s'interroge sur l'intégration de Forum Domitii à ce découpage rural.
