Vigilance : a Micro-Dynamics of Awakening. What is at stake in this contribution is to unfold and put together the analyses that are available on vigilance in neurosciences on the one side, in Husserlian phenomenology on the other side, with the aim of checking their structural compatibility. What will emerge eventually is the specific descriptive potentiality of the phenomenological approach, which makes it possible to redefine vigilance as a micro-dynamics of awakening. In so doing, the way is paved for a future first-person microphenomenology of vigilance, that may build on that hypothesis and contribute to verify it.

L’enjeu de cette contribution consiste à déployer et à mettre en relation les analyses disponibles sur la vigilance en neurosciences d’une part, en phénoménologie husserlienne d’autre part, dans le but de vérifier leur compatibilité structurelle. On fera émerger in fine la potentialité descriptive spécifique de l’approche phénoménologique, qui permet de redéfinir la vigilance comme une micro-dynamique de l’éveil. On ouvre la voie ce faisant à une micro-phénoménologie en première personne de la vigilance, qui reste à déployer, mais pourrait se configurer depuis l’hypothèse ci-dessus et contribuer à la vérifier.
