In the Mont Pilât Massif (Massif Central, Dept. of Loire, France) two interesting ferns, Cheilanthes marantae (L.) Domin and Asplenium cuneifolium Viv. were discovered on a serpentine hill. Asplenium cuneifolium were found to be diploid in this place. It is therefore corresponding to the true Asplenium cuneifolium of Viviani, which is diploid, as recently demonstrated. The hybrid Asplenium centovallense D.E. Meyer is also present in the locality.

Découverte dans le massif du Mont Pilât (Massif Central, France) de Cheilanthes marantae (L.) Domin et d'Asplenium cuneifolium Viv. Celui-ci, étant diploïde, correspond à l'espèce décrite par Viviani, dont la localité citée semble être la seule actuellement connue en France.
