Autonomy of Vision and Poetics of the City: Laforgue's "White Prose" Laforgue' s title for Paris' lament is one of three where the first word is not "lament"; and its subtitle "white prose" signals Laforgue's knowledge of contemporary art, rather than simply alludes to "blank verse" - "white verse" in French.
