A system for computer analysis of identifiable faunal material from archeological sites has been devised. Such a system will facilitate rapid and more detailed analysis and will result in standardized recording of data. The system includes a method for coding attributes and a program for the preliminary handling of coded data.

Un système d'analyse programmée des vestiges animaux provenant de sites archéologiques a été mis au point. Il facilitera une analyse rapide et plus détaillée du matériel et permettra un enregistrement homogène des données. Ce système comprend une méthode permettant de coder les différents caractères et un programme facilitant une première manipulation des données.
