The experience of the faith and the existence of God. The Rev. Ph. Roqueplo affirms that the modern science have rendered lapsed the proofs of the existence of God produced by Thomas Aquinas and, in a general way, that the rationality of the faith cannot be based on the so-called universal validity of the philosophical discourse. We try to show that the five ways continue to conduct to the establishment of the existence of God, having objective foundations and intersubjective validity because the principle of causality, derived from the principle of sufficient reason, holds out against all attacks, the nature reveals the finality to any person who knows to see it and the philosophical discourse do not appear at all "regional" if to prove is not confounded with to convince.

Le P. Roqueplo affirme que la science moderne a rendu caduques les « preuves » de l'existence de Dieu de saint Thomas et que, de manière générale, la rationalité de la foi ne peut pas être fondée sur une prétendue universalité du discours philosophique. Nous essayons de montrer que les cinq voies continuent toujours à conduire à une constatation de l'existence de Dieu objectivement fondée et inter-subjectivement valable, le principe de la causalité, dérivé du principe de la raison suffisante, résistant à toute tentative de mise en doute, la finalité étant dans la nature pour qui sait l'y voir et le discours philosophique n'étant point « régional » si l'on ne confond pas prouver avec convaincre.
