Résumé
Cet article se base sur une recherche menée lors des manifestations anti-mondialisation à Gênes en juillet 2001. Il analyse une image de la globalisation comme un phénomène essentiellement néo-libéral dont on a cru jusque-là qu'il provoquerait une fin des mouvements sociaux. L'auteur défend au contraire l'idée que celle-ci a offert des ressources et des contraintes nouvelles à une action collective qui met en lumière une demande de participation politique contestant le modèle classique de démocratie représentative.
