L'expression épigraphique du culte impérial dans les provinces gauloises

This study concerns the formulary of the Latin inscriptions of Roman Gaul consecrated to the cult of the emperors, their numen and the domus diuina, with the intention of proposing a chronology from the evolution itself of this formulary. The dedications Augusto sacrum (or approaching form) can be dated between Augustus or Claudius and Hadrian. From Hadrian's reign the formula which is used is either in honorem domus diuinae or Numini Augusti - numinibus Augustorum : the three formulae are normally situated before the name of the god in whose sanctuary the uota are expressed or the cultual acts accomplished. This study allows besides to exhibit an evolution in relation to the different provinces and to watch step by step the progress of the romanization of the inhabitants from southern to northern Gaul.

L'étude est consacrée au formulaire des inscriptions latines des Gaules exprimant le culte rendu au numen des empereurs et à la domus diuina et cherche à dégager une chronologie d'après l'évolution même de ce formulaire. Les dédicaces Augusto sacrum (ou forme approchée) nous reportent d'Auguste lui-même et Claude à Hadrien. Depuis Hadrien, on utilise tantôt la formule in honorem domus diuinae, tantôt Numini Augusti ou numinibus Augustorum ; les trois formules précèdent normalement le nom du dieu dans le sanctuaire duquel les vœux ont été proférés ou les actes cultuels accomplis. Elle permet en outre de dégager une évolution selon les provinces et de suivre pas à pas les progrès de la romanisation des habitants du Sud au Nord de la Gaule.
