Abfassung und Verbreitung der Beschlüsse des Konzils von Lyon I (1245) haben die Historiker vor zahlreiche Probleme gestellt. Die letzte Edition gliedert die Texte in drei Gruppen : Absetzungsbulle Friedrichs II., 22 Dekrete juristischen Inhalts und 5 Konstitutionen, die sich auf die Reform der Kirche oder den Orient beziehen. Der Beitrag stellt zunächst die Gesamtheit der Dekrete vor und geht dabei besonders auf die Terminologie ein ; anschliessend behandelt er zwei Dekrete näher, und zwar Nr. 7 (Legaten) und Nr. 18 (Tötungsdelikte). Der juristische Charakter der Beschlüsse von Lyon I darf nicht über die Absicht hinwegtauschen, die bestehen- den Rechtsvorschriften zu vereinfachen. Der Einfluss, den Lyon I auf die Provinzialsynoden ausgeübt hat, scheint nur gering zu zein ; aber die Augnahme seiner Beschlusse in den Liber Sextus (1298) hatte zur Folge, dass man sich in den juristischen Fakultäten mit ihnen befasste.

The recording and transmission of the decisions of the First Council of Lyon (1245) have caused historians considerable difficulties. The most recent edition divides the texts into three groups - the bull deposing Frederick II, twenty-two legal decrees, five constitutions dealing with the reform of the church, whether in the west or the east. After a general presentation of the decrees focusing, among other things, on their vocabulary, this article examines two decrees in more detail - n° 7, concerning the office of legate ; n° 18, dealing with homicide. The heavily juridical emphasis of Lyon I's decrees should not conceal the wish of the council to limit and simplify existing legal procedures. Its influence on provincial councils appears weak enough, but its inclusion in the collection known as the Sext (1298) ensured that it would be studied in the law faculties.

La rédaction et la transmission des décisions du concile Lyon I (1245) ont posé de nombreux problèmes aux historiens. La dernière édition divise les textes en trois groupes : bulle de déposition de Frédéric II, vingt-deux décrets juridiques, cinq constitutions relatives à la réforme de l'Église ou à l'Orient. Après une présentation générale des décrets portant, entre autres, sur le vocabulaire, deux décrets sont particulièrement étudiés : n. 7, la charge du légat ; n. 18, l'homicide. La forte connotation juridique de Lyon I ne doit pas masquer la volonté du concile de limiter et de simplifier les procédures existantes. L'influence de Lyon I sur les conciles provinciaux paraît faible, mais son insertion dans la collection dite Sexte (1298) lui assura d'être étudiée dans les facultés de droit.
