The antiphilosophical battle in eighteenth-century Liège. Charles-Louis Richard or the involuntary propaganda The works of the Dominican Charles-Louis Richard show in a significant way the effects of the reception of the Enlightenment on Christian literature : modification of the traditional repertory of apologetics ; hesitation between aggiornamento and doctrinal radicalization indicative of a « theological deadlock ».
