P. Bastien, "Treasure of northern Gaul. Currency, from the end of the IIIrd century to the beginning of the IVth century". The first part of the article is devoted to an inventory of the treasure-troves of Roman coins from the Ist to the IIIrd century, discovered in northern Gaul and published the last 30 years. The second part studies the currency in the same region, from the end of the IIIrd century to the beginning of the IVth century, until the death of Constantine ; it is based on recent publications of hoards, of site and necropolis coins. In particular the effects of the reform of Aurelian are discussed, together with the penetration of the coinage of Carausius and Allectus and the apportionment of the Lyons, Trier and London mints, during the different periods.

La première partie de l'article est consacrée à un inventaire des trésors de monnaies romaines du Ier au IIIème siècles, découverts en Gaule septentrionale et publiés ces trente dernières années. La seconde partie étudie la circulation monétaire dans la même région à la fin du IIIème siècle et au début du IVème siècle jusqu'à la mort de Constantin, en se basant sur les publications récentes de dépôts monétaires, de monnaies de sites et de nécropoles. Sont surtout discutés les effets de la réforme d'Aurélien, la pénétration du monnayage de Carausius et d'Allectus et l'apport monétaire, au cours de différentes périodes, des ateliers de Lyon, Trêves et Londres.

Pierre Bastien, "Schatten van noordelijk Gallië. De geldcirculatie op het einde van de derde en het begin van de vierde eeuw". Het eerste deel van het artikel is gewijd aan een inventaris van de Romeinse munten van de eerste tot de derde eeuw ontdekt in noordelijk Gallië en gedurende de laatste dertig jaar gepubli- ceerd. In het tweede deel wordt de geldcirculatie in dezelfde streek van het einde van de derde tot het begin van de vierde eeuw bestudeerd, tot de dood van Constantinus. Daarvoor wordt gesteund op recente publicaties in verband met monétaire opslagplaatsen, en geldstukken op vindplaatsen en begraafplaatsen. Het gaat vooral om de gevolgen van de hervorming van Aurelius, de penetratie van het geld van Carausius en Allectius en de geldinbreng gedurende de onderscheiden perioden van ateliers in Lyon, Trier en Londen.
