Electronic publishing introduces more than a mere change of support into our access to knowledge. By separating the text from the book, it deprives the reader of his usual cultural reference marks. In the same time, it invites us to reconsider our ways of reading and of thinking. On D-CRom or Internet, the book is deconstructed to the benefit of hypertext. What is implied here is a reconfiguration of the relationship between the author, the text and the reader under the paradigm of complexity.

L'édition électronique introduit plus qu'un simple changement de support dans notre accès au savoir. En séparant le texte du livre, elle prive le lecteur de ses repères culturels habituels. Dans le même temps, elle nous invite à reconsidérer nos façons de lire et de penser. Sur CD-Rom ou sur Internet, le livre est déconstruit au profit de l'hypertexte. Ce qui se joue ici est une reconfiguration des rapports entre l'auteur, le texte et le lecteur sous le paradigme de la complexité.
