For decades, within the vast bibliographical repertoire dedicated to ‘Egyptomania’, numerous monographs and scientific articles have compiled and analysed the most significant architectural, sculptural, pictorial, audiovisual and literary testimonies of this movement, mostly from a purely Western perspective.
