Both Professors of Contemporary History at University Paris VII-Denis Diderot and specialists of Ho Chi Minh, Pierre Brocheux and Daniel Hémery were among the first scholars to work in the Indochinese colonial archives (after 1920) following their opening in the early 1980s.
