This report describes an online EFL course for second-year students at Paul Valéry University in Montpellier. Its main objective is to foster learner autonomy through creative writing on a blog. As the course is offered exclusively online, a virtual learning environment (VLE) is used (Moodle) to make course content available to students who are then expected to choose a blogging platform to set up and write their own blogs.
