Konstantinos Melidis, « Un De audibilibus du xviiie siècle : la Physiologie de Vikentios Damodos », Presses universitaires de Strasbourg, ID : 10.4000/books.pus.17977
This article proposes an edition, a French translation and a commentary of a chapter of Vikentios Damodos’ unedited work “Logic and rational Physiology written in the common language. A speech on physical bodies.” It is an autograph work written by this Greek theologian, philosopher and jurist of the 18th century, and it is the only one to have survived, codex no 52 of the University Library of Thessaloniki. The until now unedited text, on which the author based this article is a part of Physiology. The author’s intention is to put at disposal the text of an entire chapter, with its French translation, which concerns the philosophical question of the nature, the generation and the propagation of sound. Then the author provides a brief commentary on the history of the sound theories of the Greek antiquity.
