The Sanctuary of Zeus Labraundos with the Double Axe at Labraunda in Caria was excavated by Swedish archaeologists between 1948 and 1960. Excavations were resumed in 2003 and are now continued on a yearly basis. New studies on old material have been initiated, including the terracottas. This is only a first presentation of a few of the pieces. The terracottas discovered in the early excavations number about 80.
