Sarah Irving, « Love as a Peace Process? Arab-Jewish Love in the Anglophone Palestinian Novels of Naomi Shihab Nye and Samir El-Youssef », Commonwealth Essays and Studies, ID : 10.4000/ces.4611
This article examines the portrayal of Arab-Jewish romance by Naomi Shihab Nye and Samir El-Youssef, Anglophone authors of Palestinian origin. It identifies differences between their treatment of the theme and that of Arabophone and Hebraeophone writers, arguing that this stems from their diasporic positionalities and raising some broader questions about how literature by writers of Palestinian origin is currently studied.
