Une réflexion en forme de coda : l’esthétique comme relance de la pensée de Jean-Luc Nancy au lieu même où le sens a disparu. Faisant l’expérience d’un visible qui se dérobe au regard à travers la question du portrait (L’Autre portrait), Nancy interroge la place et la vocation du portrait dans la tradition occidentale. N’y aurait-il pas dans la question du portrait la mise en œuvre de l’infini du sens qui réfute les désignations et nominations de la vérité de l’art comme de la vérité philosophique et politique ?
