At the end of 2019, sculptures of emaciated lions were installed beneath the White Cliffs of Dover and along the Thames in London by British artist Jason deCaires Taylor: they were part of a series called “Pride of Brexit”, and, in the words of the sculptor, were to be understood as “a monument to one of the most unpatriotic events Britain has ever seen”.
