Événement théologique tout autant qu’ecclésial, Vatican II invite à un renouvellement de l’herméneutique théologique fondée sur la pluridisciplinarité. L’étude de Sacrosanctum Concilium invitant tout croyant à se reconnaître comme participant à la liturgie de l’Église offre un éclairage sur la cohérence et les liens des diverses constitutions du Concile. Ce sont donc toutes les disciplines théologiques qui sont invitées, d’une part, à poursuivre la recherche et l’interprétation de la dynamique conciliaire et, d’autre part, à travailler en dialogue avec les autres sciences comme y invite Gaudium et Spes.

Vatican II is as much a theological event as an ecclesiastical. It invites us to renew the theological hermeneutic based on pluridisciplinarity. The study of Sacrosanctum Concilium, which invites all the faithful to acknowledge themselves as participants of the Church’s liturgy, sheds some light over the coherence and the relations between the diverse constitutions of Vatican II. Therefore, it is the entire theological disciplines which are invited to carry on the search and interpretation of the dynamic of the Council on one hand, and on the other, to dialogue with the other sciences as stated in Gaudium et Spes.
