Dr Paikiasothy Saravanamuttu, Executive Director of the Centre for Policy Alternatives, went further on a recent visit to London. He said Sri Lanka was the subject of 'state capture' by the Rajapaksa family, which holds the presidency through Mahinda while his brother, Gotabaya, is minister of defence and seen by many as the more powerful.
