Congratulations to Stanford graduate student (and CoSyn contributor) Lane Baker, whose article "The Sound of Sin: Episcopal Noise Regulation in the Later Middle Ages", Viator 52/2 (2021), 131-178, won the inaugural Andy Kelly Prize for the best article published in Viator during the preceding two years. The article draws extensively on the Corpus Synodalium database in presenting an innovative argument about ecclesiastical regulation of the medieval soundscape, and offers a wonderful example...
