The promising path of the "common" doesn't seem to be able to change the negative anticipations of the global ecological crisis. Coming back on two fundamental meanings of the "common" applied to the environmental field, the first putting the emphasis on what "belongs to several people", the second on "what is decided together", the article goes deeper into the question of the necessary conditions for the development of a common heritage management of the environmental issues, which contributes to the democratic ideal.

La voie prometteuse du commun ne semble pas en mesure de changer les anticipations négatives de la crise écologique globale. En revenant sur deux acceptions fondamentales du commun appliquées au champ environnemental, la première mettant l'accent sur ce qui " appartient à plusieurs ", la seconde sur " ce qui se décide ensemble ", l'article approfondit la question des conditions nécessaires au développement d'une gestion en patrimoine commun des problèmes environnementaux, susceptible de concourir effectivement à l'idéal démocratique.
