Self-regulation was evaluated in new students of online psychology degree. The Inventory of Learning Styles and Motivational Orientation of Castañeda and Ortega (2004) was adapted and applied to a sample of 204 students finding that age is related to perceived effectiveness, external approval and handling of study materials.
