هناك مفردات أمازيغية الأصل في كل لهجة من لهجات العربية الدارجة في شمال إفريقيا. دخولها في العربية لا ينحصر في عصر واحد فقط، فبعضها دخلت في القرون الأولى الهجرية وانتشرت بعد ذلك مع انتشار العربية في المنطقة، وبعضها الآخر بقيت مستعملة عند أهل منطقة معينة بعد تعريبها لاحقاً. هدف هذه المقالة تحديد أقدم هذه المفردات، اعتماداً على معايير التوزيع الجغرافي، التوزيع الوراثي، التوزيع التاريخي، والتركيب الذاتي. تبيّن هذه الدراسة أن بعض أولى المفردات الأمازيغية في العربية الدارجة المغاربية مركّزة في مجاليْ الطبيعة والحياة المنزلية.

There are words of Amazigh (Berber) origin in every Arabic dialect of North Africa. They did not all enter Arabic in the same era; some date as far back as the first centuries AH, spreading across the region with the spread of Arabic itself, while others remained in use among the people of a specific area after they switched to Arabic much later. The purpose of this article is to identify the oldest of these words, using the criteria of their geographic, phylogenetic, and historical distribution as well as their internal structure. This study shows that the earliest of these Amazigh words in Maghrebi Arabic are concentrated in the semantic domains of nature and domestic life.

Il y a des mots d'origine berbère dans tous les dialectes de l'arabe nord-africain. Son entrée en arabe ne se limite pas à une seule époque, car certains d'entre eux sont entrés dans les premiers siècles hégiriens et se sont ensuite répandus avec la diffusion de l'arabe dans la région, et d'autres sont restés en usage parmi les habitants d'une région particulière après avoir été arabisés.
