Résumé
Haemophilia is a hereditary blood disorder which affects blood clotting. Travel time and most generally accessibility are very important to improve the quality of life. Because of expensive medicines, French health services are limited to providing treatment within hospitals. Considering different approaches, four components of accessibility are considered in the study: spatial, therapeutical, social, psychological. The study crosses different conceptions and different methods of health geography. The PhD aims at assessing travel time to health services and at understanding patients' behaviour. To do so, GIS and interviews will be the main tools to be used. Brittany is the main area studied. First results on the case of the Greater London confirm the role played by the health organisation on accessibility.
