Résumé En

The territory of Hispania Celtica (Celtic Iberia) stretched from the Atlantic to the Iberian Mountains (Sistema Ibérico) and from the Cantabrianmountains to the Guadiana valley. In Celtic Iberia there were many sacred places, such as high places, sacred rocks, shrines, and temples in whichMediterranean traditions mingle with the Indo-European substrate. The presence of these sacred places, located both in nature and in castrosand oppida, testifies to their different functions. Excavations and researches carried out over the last twenty years have made it possible to renew their classification, and to know better theirlocation, function and evolution. It is possible to classify these places from the old beliefs of the Bronze Age to the mythical stories of the foundersof aristocratic lineages of the Iron Age, that have sometimes lasted from Antiquity to present times in folklore traditions. This text wantsto highlight the relationships and the differences existing between these sacred places of Celtic Iberia and those documented in the Iron Age ofCeltic Europe.
