This study establishes the circumstances and causes of a terrorist attack committed on September 11, 1937 at the headquarters of the French Patronat by a group of extreme right-wing activists, the Secret Committee for Revolutionary Action (CSAR in french), better known as the Cagoule.It follows more particularly the itinerary of the Michelin engineer Pierre Locuty who was the one who made and placed the deadly bomb. He was a chemical engineer, a member of the Croix-de-Feu, very much appreciated by Michelin managers. During the social conflicts in 1936 he opposed the workers on strike who wanted to occupy the Michelin factory. He was then threatened and joined a secret self-defense group. This group was soon financed and armed by certain Michelin managers, before being put in contact with the CSAR. The study follows Locuty after his flight from France just after war and his death sentence in absentia and his career as a notable in Switzerland where he lived quietly until his death in 2001.

Cette étude établit les circonstances et causes d'un attentat commis le 11 septembre 1937 au siège du Patronat français par un groupe d'activistes d'extrême droite, le Comité secret d'action révolutionnaire (CSAR), plus connu sous le nom de la Cagoule. Elle suit plus particulièrement le parcours de l'ingénieur Michelin Pierre Locuty qui fut celui qui confectionna et déposa la bombe meurtrière. C'était un ingénieur chimiste, membre des Croix-de-Feu, très apprécié des dirigeants Michelin. Lors des conflits sociaux chez Michelin en 1936 il s'opposa aux ouvriers en grève et voulant occuper l'usine. Il fut alors menacé et rejoignit un groupe d'autodéfense secret. Celui-ci fut bientôt financé et armé par certains dirigeants Michelin, avant d'être mis en relation avec le CSAR. L'étude suit Locuty après sa fuite de France après-guerre, sa condamnation à mort par contumace et sa carrière de notable en Suisse où il vécut tranquillement jusqu'à sa mort en 2001.
