In the work different meanings of "representation" are discussed concerning the psychology and philosophy of the science; so much like of "model", getting to the reader in the theoretical bases of the semantic conception and structuralist of the science. Secondly there is discussed what understands himself for realism and his variants in philosophy of the science. Thirdly, examples get in the archaeological area, placing it as "intentional applications" from the semantic perspective of the science.

En el trabajo se discuten diferentes significados de "representación" en torno a la psicología y filosofía de la ciencia; tanto como de "modelo", introduciéndose al lector en las bases teóricas de la concepción semántica y estructuralista de la ciencia. En segundo lugar se discute qué se entiende por realismo y sus variantes en filosofía de la ciencia. En tercer lugar, se introducen ejemplos en el ámbito arqueológico, situándolo como "aplicaciones intencionales" desde la perspectiva semántica de la ciencia.
