Nous montrerons que c’est l’intermittence entre visibilité et invisibilité qui constitue pour Ford le secret de cet événement fondateur, marqué par une nécessité simultanée de le celer et de le montrer, de l’ignorer et de le connaître. Ford propose ainsi une conception originale du pouvoir constituant, que seuls les moyens propres du cinéma permettent d’illustrer avec autant d’efficacité.
