Résumé En

The Libyan groups of people mentioned in the ancient Egyptian sources are distinguished in Egyptian iconography by several attributes such as one or several feathers on the head and cross-bands on the chest. One wonders whether these people would have recognized themselves in the ancient Egyptian images. Some of the anthropomorphic figures in Saharan rock art, from regions that may have been inhabited or traversed by these groups, may fuel this discussion.
