Résumé 0

The German historian Dieter Pohl shows here to what point the Wehrmacht was implicated in the genocide of the Jews. Well before June 22, 1941, in Poland, the soldiers of the regular army had assassinated civilian Jews without any fear of punishment. Through the example of the 707th infantry division, Pohl depicts a Wehrmacht frequently implied, in the USSR and elsewhere (for example in the Balkans), in the assassination of the Jews. This study follows those of Hannes Heer, Benoît Lemay, and Christian Ingrao. Many soldiers of the regular army took part in the genocide. Not only as spectators, voyeurs, and/or powerless witnesses, but also as participants who can be counted in whole units.
