Résumé En Fr

Some examples of decoration in medieval houses in Toledo: plasterwork, woodwork and coverings. Even today, after several centuries during which scores of people have been living in the city and have left their work, dreams and each new project carried out, reminders of the past come to life, planned and enjoyed by other people in the privacy of their homes. In this artcile, we will make onlysmall mention of certain elements that were created be used and enjoyed by the original dwelles, and that time has been able to save from being lost in the most peculiar ways imaginable. Woodwork, plasterwork, and decorated baseboards are a few of the forms used most frequently in antiquity to give status to the houses where people lived.

Interventions issues d'un colloque consacré à l'Histoire de l'Urbanisme médiévale, du 16 au 18 mars 2009, à Tolède en Espagne.
