Résumé
The aim of Alain Deschamps’ paper is to set out an overview of the various parameters at work when two clauses are concatenated (the main verb being complemented by a subordinate clause). A metalinguistic representation of these patterns – inside an enunciative framework – includes tentative formulations of abstract forms for all predicates found before complement clauses so as to account for their different values and to explain why semantically related verbs are likely to appear in similar constructions. It also requires a formal definition of the parameters of the possible relations between the elements of the two clauses and of the various grammatical markers.
