André Mathe, Mélinée Agathon : Ueber die Anpassung ans Altern. Soziologische Aspekte einer Untersuchung uber das Altern, die das « Centre de Gérontologie de l'Association Claude Bernard » bei einer Gruppe von Fischern und Seeleuten der atlantischen Kuste durchgeführt hat In Anlehnung an K. Lewin isolieren die Verfasser zwei Faktoren, die die Anpasstmg ans Altern bedingen : « tatsächliche Lage der Einsamkeit » und « Gefühl der Einsamkeit ». Das Interview richtete sich besonders auf die gesellschaftliche Anteilnahme, auf die Verbindungen zu Anderen und auf die subjektive Emschätzung des Gesundheitszustandes. Die Befragten hatten alle einen handwerklichen Beruf ausgeübt, in dem sie unter den Mängeln an Anpassung, wie sie die Industrialisierung mit sich, bringt, nicht zu leiden gehabt hatten und wiesen eine ziemlich gute Anpassung ans Altern auf, die auf die Tatsache zurückzufuhren ist, dass Konfliktquellen mit der Umgebung ziemlich eingeschränkt sind und dass die Lage der Person von ihr selbst, von ihrer Umgebung und von der Gesellschaft akzeptiert wird.

Социологические стороны исследования (о постарении), которое было проведено центром Гегонтологии Ассоциации Клода Бернара, над группой моряков-рыбаков Атлантического побережья. По левиниенской перспективе, авторы обособляют два фактора, обуславливая аккомодацию постарением: «состояние изолированности» и «чувство уединения». Интервью касалось именно смысла общественного участия, сношения с другими людьми, субъективного определения состояния здоровья. Лица, занимавшиеся все ремесленным трудом, предохраненным от неприспособления порожденного индустриализацией, представляют собой довольно удовлетворительную аккомодацию, благодаря тому, что источники столкновения с окружающим миром довольно сокращены, а положение, в котором находится данное лицо, принято им самим, окружающим обществом.
André Mathe, Mélinée Agathon : Adaptation to old age. An article on the sociological aspects of a survey on old age carried out by the Centre de Gérontologie of the Association Claude Bernard among a group of Atlantic coast fishermen. Influenced by Lewin's approach, the authors study two factors which condition adaptation to old age : « isolation » and « feeling of solitude ». The interview dealt mainly with the feeling of participation in society, communication with others, subjective appreciation of state of health. The persons interviewed had all been artisans and thus did not suffer from the lack of adaptation which industrialization brings with it. They were all fairly well adapted : sources of conflict with environment were few and the state of the individual was accepted by himself, his immediate circle and society.

Aspectos sociológicos de una encuesta sobre el envejecimiento realizada por el Centro de Gerontología de la Asociación Claude Bernard con un grupo de marinos-pescadores del litoral atlátitico. Con una perspectiva leviniana, los autores aislan dos factores que condicionan el acomodamiento a la vejez : « situación de aislamiento » y « sentimiento de soledad ». La investigación trataba entre otras cosas del sentido de la participacíon social, la comunicación, la apreciación subjetiva del estado de salud. Todos los sujetos que habían practicado un oficio artesanal preservado de las desadaptaciones engendradas por la industrialization, presentan un acomodamiento bastante bueno, debido al hecho de que los orígenes de conflicto con su medio son escasos y a que el estado del individuo es aceptado por el mismo asi como por la sociedad y personas que lo rodean.
