This book deals with the construction site in all its forms and in all its states: from public works to shipbuilding, from archeology to museum production, from forestry to industrial maintenance, on land, underground or under the surface … Beyond the apparent multiplicity of land, site work can be grouped into three archetypal modes: construction, excavation or removal, maintenance. Le présent livre traite du chantier sous toutes ses formes et dans tous ses états : des travaux publics à la construction navale, de l’archéologie à la production muséale, de la foresterie à la maintenance industrielle, sur terre, sous-terre ou sous l’eau… Par-delà la multiplicité apparente des terrains, le travail de chantier peut être regroupé en trois modes archétypaux : la construction, l’excavation ou enlèvement, la maintenance.
