Bastien Dumont, « Édition de l'Homélie sur la Passion du Christ d'Anastase le Sinaïte (CPG 7754/BHG 416c) », HAL-SHS : histoire des religions, ID : 10670/1.hd75ma
This article contains a critical edition of an unpublished homily by Anastasius of Sinai, Homilia in passionem Iesu Christi, based on the four known Greek manuscripts. Probably written ca. 690, the homily provides a rather unusual exegesis of Ps 2 reasserting God’s rejection of the Jews for the murder of Christ and the election of the Church. We argue in the introduction that this strong anti-Judaic emphasis is aimed at restating Judaism's inferiority to Christianity, thus compensating for the declining status of Chalcedonians and responding to Muslim criticisms of the Christian faith.
