Urbanização e planejamento da Amazônia: diálogos com Bertha Becker

O objetivo é compreender a urbanização e o planejamento da Amazônia a partir das contribuições de Bertha Becker. No primeiro momento, pensa-se o fenômeno urbano a partir da Amazônia nos livros publicados nas décadas de 1980 e 1990 por Bertha Becker: "Geopolítica da Amazônia: a nova fronteira de recursos naturais" de 1982 e "Amazônia" de 1990. No segundo momento, discute-se a floresta urbanizada, tendo como base as seguintes publicações da autora: "Amazônia - geopolítica na virada do III milênio" de 2004 e "A urbe amazônida - A floresta e a cidade" de 2013. O sentido é iluminar as contribuições de Bertha Becker sobre a produção das cidades, a difusão do urbano e o planejamento na Amazônia para buscarmos desenvolver, confrontando essa pesquisa bibliográfica com recentes processos em curso, novas interpretações sobre a urbanização e a metropolização nessa região e suas tendências.

L'objectif est de comprendre l'urbanisation et l'aménagement de l'Amazonie à partir des apports de Bertha Becker. Dans un premier temps, le phénomène urbain est envisagé depuis l'Amazonie dans les livres publiés dans les années 1980 et 1990 par Bertha Becker : « Géopolitique de l'Amazonie : la nouvelle frontière des ressources naturelles » de 1982 et « Amazonie » de 1990. Dans le deuxièmement, la forêt urbanisée est discutée, à partir des publications suivantes de l'auteur : « Amazonie - géopolitique au tournant du IIIe millénaire » de 2004 et « La ville amazonienne - La forêt et la ville » de 2013. L'objectif est d'éclairer les contributions de Bertha Becker sur la production des villes, la diffusion de l'urbain et l'aménagement en Amazonie pour chercher à développer, en comparant cette recherche bibliographique avec les processus récents en cours, de nouvelles interprétations sur l'urbanisation et la métropolisation dans cette région et ses tendances.

The aim is to understand the urbanization and planning of the Amazon based on the contributions of Bertha Becker. In the first moment, the urban phenomenon is considered from the Amazon in the books published in the 1980s and 1990s by Bertha Becker: "Geopolitics of the Amazon: the new frontier of natural resources" from 1982 and "Amazon" from 1990. In the second moment, the urbanized forest is discussed, based on the following publications by the author: "Amazon - geopolitics at the turn of the III millennium" from 2004 and "The Amazon city - the forest and the city" from 2013. The aim is to highlight Bertha Becker's contributions on the production of cities, the diffusion of the urban and planning in the Amazon to seek to develop, comparing this bibliographical research with recent ongoing processes, new interpretations about urbanization and metropolization in this region and its trends.
