L’histoire de l’entreprise ne se sépare pas de celle de la structure politique du pays : ceci est reflété par l’évolution des contrats utilisés depuis l’époque romaine, et particulièrement depuis le XVe siècle. Progressivement, l’entreprise Vinci s’est créée, développée, structurée et atteint aujourd’hui une puissance qui lui permet de rendre des services auparavant dévolus à l’Etat : études et financement de grands ouvrages. Mais ses caractéristiques internes n’ont pas changé : elle a toujours l’esprit d’initiative et la cohésion interne de ses collaborateurs pour réaliser une grande œuvre.

Business history cannot be separated from the country’ political structure. This can be seen through the evolution of contracts used from Roman times and more particularly from the 15th century. Gradually, the Vinci Group created, developed and reached a power which allows replacing the State regarding conception and financing of great works. But, from an internal point of view, Vinci has not changed. The Group still needs its fighting spirit and the strong unity of its fellow workers to achieve great challenges.
