Marie-José Gasse-Grandjean, « Le cartulaire-registre de l’abbaye cistercienne d’Acey : un exemple d’outil paratextuel », HAL-SHS : histoire, ID : 10670/1.n8koai
The Cistercian abbey of Acey, located in the commune of Vitreux, in the Jura département, in France (Franche-Comté, arrondissement of Dole, canton of Gendrey) was founded in 1133-1134. A very large collection of documents related to this abbey has been preserved, mainly in the Archives Départementales of Jura. René Locatelli used this documentation and published a history of this monastery in 1986 (P. Gresser, R. Locatelli, M. Gresset, É. Vuillemin, L’Abbaye Notre-Dame d’Acey, Besançon- Abbaye d’Acey). We chose to edit the cartulary of Acey now kept in the Bibliothèque nationale de France (ms. lat. 5683). Physical descriptions and comparisons of sources point out specific options: strong markers, short contents, pancarts registers and various writing techniques.
