Antonio Checa Godoy, « La batalla política y legal en Ecuador ante la creación de un sector estatal de medios informativos », HAL-SHS : sciences politiques, ID : 10670/1.ojc74n
Ecuador lives from four years ago an intense battle between political power and the power that represent the private media. By the creation from the government of a relevant public sector information, with newspapers, radio stations, television channels and news agency, and the gradual introduction of a legislation considered interventionist by these private media. The use of relevant institutional advertising, and the planned Communication Law, on which there is no consensus, it aggravates the picture. For the government leaded by Rafael Correa, such a policy is a strategy which cannot be waived in order to achieve a real democracy and minorities have the means to express their identity.
