This article analyzes the genesis and the operating steps of a farmer's grocery store in Marseille as part of an alternative food network linked with short food supply chains. This paper questions whether this form of business can be associated with Social and Solidarity Economy principles. Ethnography and communication analysis highlight the transition between the ethics of the founder and the employees, a Weberian opposition between "ethics of conviction" and "ethics of responsibility".
