Si l’identification et l’identité sont étymologiquement liées, cet article montre ce qui permet de les différencier, et même de les opposer, à partir de l’élaboration proposée par Lacan. On s’intéresse ici à une identification qui, non identitaire, produit de la différence absolue. C’est au sens où le « trait unaire » permet de se compter pour un – absolument singulier – dans le registre du signifiant.

If identification and identity are linked etymologically, following Lacan this article shows what allows their differentiation and even their opposition. We will be focusing here on an identification, with no reference to identity, which produces absolute difference. It is in this sense that the “unary trait” allows to count oneself as one – absolutely singular – within the register of the signifier.

Si la identificación y la identidad están etimológicamente relacionadas, este articula muestra lo que permite diferenciarlas, e incluso oponerlas, a partir de la elaboración propuesta por Lacan. Aquí nos interesa una identificación que, no identitaria, produce la diferencia absoluta. Es en el sentido que el trazo unitario permite contarse como uno absolutamente singular en el registro del significante.
