Visant à dresser un panorama général de la publication d’informations journalistiques sur l’internet, l’observation ne se limite pas aux reproductions sur le web des médias existants (presse en ligne) mais va des blogs aux bases d’archives, en passant par les rubriques d’actualités des sites portails. L’analyse met en évidence la densité des relations entre ces différents lieux de diffusion, formant un vaste réseau de circulation et de retraitement d’informations. Au final, le développement de l’internet semble moins avoir contribué à la création de contenus originaux qu’au recyclage à plusieurs niveaux d’une même matière première informationnelle.
