Christian Ingrao, « Un champ de recherche spécifique ? La politique nazie de lutte contre les partisans », Revue d’Histoire de la Shoah, ID : 10670/1.topqip
In response to his work, The Black Shoes, The Dirlewanger Brigade (Paris, Perrin, 2006), Christian Ingrao explains how a war without rules, without limits and outside all conventions was taken against the Partisans behind the front lines and opened the way for more and more barbaric practices. Under the pretext of breaking the Francs-Tireurs, this offensive German army (seen as such since 1870) supports the massacre practices and then, more and more frankly, the genocide. In other words, the genocide is inseparable of the climate of extreme violence nourished by the ideological Nazi device which was relayed over the terrain by the SS, the Police of Order, and the regular army.
