During the 2010 expedition to Kilwa, we excavated a funerary monument that revealed bones and two texts in North Arabian script. The analysis of the bones, using a method adapted to human remains from very arid environments, allowed us to re-discuss the dating of the use of the Northarabic script. We present here only the results of the analysis of the bones, the inscriptions are being edited.

Lors de l’expédition 2010 à Kilwa, nous avons fouillé un monument funéraire qui a livré des ossements et deux textes en graphie nordarabique. L’analyse des ossements, grâce à une méthode adaptée aux restes humains provenant des milieux très aride, nous a permis de rediscuter la datation de l’utilisation de la graphie nordarabique. Nous présentons ici uniquement les résultats de l’analyse des ossements, les inscriptions sont en cours d’édition
